Deep in Leicestershire countryside, and halfway between London and Manchester, Dandelion Hideaway is known for being one of Britain’s best farm stay destinations.

This is the perfect muddy break for children aged 2-12, whilst older children can stay and play in their very own treehouse.

Grooming the adorable Shetland ponies and getting a rosette is one of the highlights for younger guests at The Dandelion Hideaway, while mini wannabee farmers can also look after the hens and help with milking the goats as well as riding the mini tractor

Form A classic English glampsite farm with all the adorable farmyard trimmings (ie. a hen coop, morning milking and campfire).

Yearlings Ages 18 months and over.

Pace Children get to set and groom the ponies, so there won’t be a lot of horseback action here – however, it is the perfect, gentle introduction.

Tack & Stables Five vintage canvas cottages (which sleep up to six in a double, twin plus a cute hayloft) with en suite roll top baths, wood burning ovens and proper comfy beds. There is also one secluded canvas cottage – Bluebells – just for couples, which comes with its own treehouse and wood burning hot tub.

Feedbag & Dressage Supplies can be bought from the farm’s own Cow Shed Stores, including cheese and milk from the delightful goats on the farm.

Purse Cottages sleeping up to 6 people cost £525 per cottage for a four-night week in July.
