Opened at the start of this year (2014), Bedouin Oasis is a luxury tented camp in Umm al-Quwain, one of the most beautiful deserts of the United Arab Emirates and less than one hour’s drive from Dubai.
With real goat’s hair tents, cushions on the sand for your seating, an underground oven to cook your dinner, and a campfire, this is an authentic recreation of bedouin life (albeit at its most luxurious).
With horse riding adventures in the desert, drumming, falconry shows and camel trekking, children will believe they’ve fallen into the heart of an Aladdin-esque adventure
Families can also go on a dune desert safari, take guided nature walks through the dunes with a naturalist exploring the desert’s fauna and flora, or simply wash away all the dust and dirt in the stunning dessert swimming pool.
Form Guide An Arabian adventure in the desert.
Yearlings All ages.
Pace Gentle – horses won’t be moving at a terribly fast pace across the sand, so this is one of the more relaxed horse back riding options available.
Stables Bell tents (30sqm) are scattered across the property – one of the most incredible desert landscapes. For a truly private and exclusive experience, Bedouin Oasis also offers the Royal Tent, a secluded 100 square metre suite set a little way from the resort.
Feedbag Evening barbecues with mezze and freshly baked bread are followed by light breakfasts in the morning. Afternoon teas are also an option.
Purse Three nights for a family of four sharing two tents on a half board basis at Bedouin Oasis costs from £3,100 per family, including return BA flights from London Heathrow with Tots Too.
