Vosges Haut | Lincoln Park
The Chocolatier that everyone raves about in the City of Chicago is Vosges Haut Chocolat in Lincoln Park! It seems that only they have found a way to make even the smallest and fussiest consumer delighted upon the smallest bite of unique and artful chocolates.
I can’t stay away from the exotic truffles myself but those crazy boys prefer the carmel marshmallows!! The messier the better!!
This certainly is one chocolatier who does not shy away from unusual combinations: there’s stout beer with alder wood smoked salt chocolate and burnt sugar caramel, or taleggio cheese with organic walnuts, Tahitian vanilla bean and dark chocolate, and even a bacon and chocolate pancake mix for you to make at home. And this has to be one of the first chocolatiers to provide for visitors with food intolerances – there are gluten-free, sugar-free and even vegan chocolates!
Note that half the fun of visiting this store is wandering in to all the great shops near this location while savoring every last bite! And of course there is the fabulous park with its mini – but free – zoo just a few blocks away.
If Lincoln Park is too far from your hotel, there’s another Chicago boutique at 520 North Michigan Avenue, and – just in case you miss it during your stay – there are also boutiques at Terminal One, Three and Five at O’Hare Airport.
