Easter at GapKidsby Catherine O'Dolan on 02/04/2015
One of the joys of having a baby is that you get to dress your offspring in the most adorable outfits – and you can really have some fun when it comes to seasonal ensembles. Who can resist emitting an “Aw, sweet” at the sight of a pint-size festive pudding, a chubby Hallowe’en pumpkin or, at this time year, a bouncing Easter bunny or a delightful Spring chicken.
As a brand that’s big on ‘holidays’, GapKids always has a great selection of seasonal wear to help tiddlers celebrate in style. Just be prepared for a few moans in the teenage years when you get out that adorable photograph of your child in the cute hat with bunny ears. All together now: “Aw, sweet.”

Designer details Doris and Don Fisher opened the first Gap store on Ocean Avenue, San Francisco in 1969. The reason was simple. Don couldn’t find a pair of jeans that fit. The store, stocked with Levi’s, records and tapes, transformed into a thriving, nearly $15 billion global business with more than 134,000 employees, and a permanent place in pop cultural history. Founders Doris and Don have been credited with inventing the specialty retail category, though they were equally known for their commitment to philanthropy and civic work. The first GapKids store opened in San Mateo, California, in 1986, a year before the opening of the first Gap store in London. Today, there are more than 3,100 Gap stores worldwide.
