The countdown to Christmas 2014 is about to begin… so which Advent calendar will inspire your little
Lego fan?
Lego Star Wars Advent Calendar If you have a mini Star Wars aficionado in your home, this is the perfect countdown to Christmas with 24 figures and vehicles to build, including the fabulous Darth Vader with red Santa cape costume and R2D2 Christmas Tree. There are seven more mini figures plus cruisers, starships and other galactic vehicles to build yourself. Once you’ve built all the characters, you can fold out the icy Hoth landscape to animate your very own episode!
Lego Friends Advent Calendar A wintry scene starring mini-doll figures Mia and Ewa on a sledding adventure. You will get to meet wildlife minifigures in the forest as Mia makes her way to her friend Ewa’s house where they sit down to a scrumptious Christmas dinner and open all their presents.
Lego City Advent Calendar The 2014 City Advent Calendar is perhaps the best collectible Advent of all this year! First of all there is a proper Santa mini figure which has only appeared once previously in the Lego Collectible Minifigure Series. There is also a mailbox, frog, snowman, cake stand, food stand with fruit and vegetables, wagon with a baguette, catapult with snowballs, duck, dog with bone, police scooter with sled, dinner table with roast turkey, Christmas gifts, tricycle, letter, croissant, ice skates, plate of banknotes, megaphone, Christmas decorations, handcuffs, Santa’s sack and a cookie!
Note: Not suitable for under-threes due to small pieces.
Designer Details Founded in Denmark by Ole Kirk Kristiansen in 1932, Lego (an abbreviation of the two Danish words “leg godt”, meaning “play well”) is arguably the most iconic toy brand ever. Twice named “Toy of the Century”, the famous Lego brick, with its distinctive interlocking system, was first launched in 1958. Although Lego is ostensibly a brand for children, there are many AFOLs (Adult Fans Of Lego) including Brad Pitt, David Beckham and WillIAm.
