Introducing the numbers one to five, this lift-the-flap book delivers a series of mysterious animals – or more accurately, their rear ends – with a written cue as to what lurks on the other side…
“This one loves rolling in the mud…” and, upon lifting the flap: “one hippo!” Then there are “These two have lots of teeth…” Who could they possibly be? With long green tails and a reptilian leaning, could it be an iguana or just a very odd fish? Lift the flap and you’ll find out… The page opposite each animal displays the appropriate numeral with its corresponding word as well as a series of dots (one to five), to be counted with your child.
This book’s ‘whose-the-culprit’ questions, lift-the-flap pages and numbers expressed as words, animal groups, numerals and dots, is an engaging combination…
