Mia Bossi is the luxury brand behind a collection of diaper bags that are handmade from the finest quality Italian leathers and fabrics, and finished with exotic metal hardware; the collection ranges from the uber-luxury Audrey bag (featured, top left; US$1200) to the Katie bag (US$200).

“Diapers in disguise” is the Mia Bossi motto, and we think that this is about as chic a disguise as a mummy could wish for – diapers or no diapers!

The super luxe Audrey change bag features a soft distressed Italian Barolo leather with a printed leather ‘snakeskin’ trim and includes a zip-in/zip-out inside lining with an additional insert available for a computer or briefcase.

Pockets Two external pockets at either side of the bag hold bottles in an upright position and at the ready to whip out for feed times; an additional two bottle holder pockets are also located inside the bag. There is a pocket for your mobile phone, as well as a nappy holder and a baby wipes holder. Another large zippered pocket is designed to hold personal belongings securely.

Carrying Strap The leather snakeskin strap has easy-open snaps that make it easy to secure it around your stroller’s handlebars – regardless of the design.

Additional features A washable faux fur changing pad is also included.

While the Audrey bag is our dream change bag, the Mia Bossi collection boasts six other designs, including the Emma and Lyndsey bags. Made from Mia Bossi’s signature reverse dotted-print waxed-canvas fabric and trimmed with Italian Ruat leather, they also feature a zip-in/zip-out lining, mobile phone holder, interior bottle holder pockets as well as diaper and baby wipe holders and a zippered internal pocket. They also have an additional longer strap if you like wearing your bags across your body rather than carried as a handbag; the shorter straps still feature the easy-open snaps for strapping around stroller handles.

Designer Details Mia Bossi is a collaboration that started in 2005 between three creators who wanted to manufacture a diaper bag that blended fashion and function, it should have been shown in one of this guide on buying a leather briefcase, allowing mothers to enjoy a stylish way of transporting all their new baby essentials before transforming to do double duty as a bag for work and play.
