Bob and Deb Semple moved to Rhode Island in March of 1983. Bob was promoted from Pennsylvania, to run an Advertising operation in Rhode Island. The Semples had twins Scott and Tiffany age 3. Debra desired quality children’s clothes for the twins. Deb a fashion designer by trade started making the Twins clothes when they were born in 1979. She had customers placing orders from at least three states. Bob and Deb decided to open Teddy Bearskins in Wickford.Two years later they opened Barrington, and three years later they opened their third store. Debra was then pregnant with their third child Brent. It was at this point They decided that three stores was plenty, with three children. Quality clothing, shoes, and toys was their main desire, along with excellent customer service.
