One Fine Baby | 2014

A few weeks ago we visited Sydney’s inaugural One Fine Baby Fair – a showcase of primarily Australian brands. With its boutique approach to shopping for your baby, this marketplace rounds up some seriously stylish products and brands so you don’t have to do the hard yards.

From the beaches of Australia’s northern New South Wales comes the ever-so-on-trend baby fashion label FromZion featuring harem pants, vintage drape kimonos (soon to be released in Mummy sizes too – hooray!), as well as more-elegant-than-usual baby-to-toddler moccasins (pictured).

Mothers Alex, Erica and Jacinda teamed up with designer Kimmy Hogan to create the gorgeous In Bed With Fred‘s first nursery bedlinen collection with iconic graphics in a sophisticated colour palette. Quilts are reversible, so you can turn them over for a change of scene.

Chilean-Australian design team EggPicnic deliver graphic brilliance in everything from prints for your walls (think beatles, birds and whales) to handmade felt art/toys (orang-utan, pictured).

For a true beach beauty, take a look at Sunny Jim‘s fabulously ‘sunny’ sun shades (with on-trend chevron stripes) that come with matching yoga mat/bags, beach bags and beach towels too.

We think Miss Lilly‘s bibs are brilliant. They’re petite (teensy-tiny for your bag, but perfectly proportioned to cover the food-drop zone) and use gorgeous fabrics (think flamingos and skull-and-crossbones) with super soft fleece backing to ensure your baby won’t complain when you clip it on.

My Baby Moments… and toddler moments, and pregnant moments… make packs of cards you simply prop up alongside your baby/your belly/your toddler at the appropriate ‘Moment’. Snap, save and remember forever without further ado.

Already much-adored, Scout Lifestyle won more fans with their latest collection of deliciously colourful quilts and sophisticated bed linens for kids rooms.

With its clever interlocking joinery, the furniture at Plyroom looks like it could be just as at home in a dollhouse as a bedroom. Simply brilliant.

Channelling the spirit of the Sixties, Nacido is the brainchild of mummy and daddy team Matt and Bel. We adore the crochet dresses and pantaloons as well as the hippy-hipster pants…

Our favourites from new brand Amiamo are their harem pants featuring skulls and crossbones. Soooo cute.

And of course, JoyJoie is an absolute joy with its one-off teepee designs that will have everyone in the family wanting to host it in their garden.
