Blafre

BLAFRE is a family company, established autumn of 2005 during entrepreneur Ingrid’s maternity leave. This is the reason every single card produced bears the inscription “Nuss til Nora” (“Kiss for Nora”) on the back, as Nora is the child in question. The company is located in Oslo, and both Ingrid and her husband Remi are central in the running of it. Her in design and administration, him in sales and product development. There are also talented and enthusiastic people at work in Customer Relations, PR and design as well as in the shop and coffee bar, as we in November 2010 opened our Head Office with a showroom, shop and coffee bar in the idyllic Ekeberg Hageby.

The products are now sold in close to 600 shops in more than ten different countries. BLAFRE has its own distributors who take care of the sales outside of Norway. BLAFRE is passionate about Norwegian design, with happy colors and often naïve figures. We have since 2005 expanded our product range on a regular basis. It started exclusively with cards, then via canvas prints to amongst other things various boxes, bottles, vacuum flasks, textiles, miscellaneous small artefacts – and from autumn/winter 2012: Wall stickers and china. Autumn 2012 we launched for the first time a collection featuring an external, Norwegian designer. To present and boost talented, Norwegian designers in this way is something we’d like to continue doing.
